AJ has been with Portfolio Advisors, Inc. since 2014, starting as a part-time intern while finishing his degree before becoming a full-time Support Advisor and now a Lead Advisor on the team. He enjoys helping families navigate the complexities of the financial world and is committed to providing clear, transparent advice. AJ earned his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification in 2020 and is actively involved in the financial planning community. He is a member of the XY Planning Network and the Fee-Only Network, both of which promote transparency and fiduciary responsibility in financial advising.

A graduate of Fresno State, AJ was a member of the university’s award-winning Student-Managed Investment Fund program and the Financial Management Association (now the Association of Finance Scholars). Beyond work, AJ values giving back to the community and serves on the board of directors for Exceptional Parents Unlimited, a Fresno-based nonprofit that supports children and families facing medical, developmental, and parenting challenges.

In his free time, AJ enjoys traveling with his wife, Jillian (married in 2024), and spending time with their dog, Remy—who also holds the honorary title of Chief Morale Officer at Portfolio Advisors.
